So now it's time to get into the details of posing. I explored some modern and classic poses. I used a lot of sculpture reference for posing instead of paintings because sculptures are three dimensional and it's easier to see some nuances at different angles.
Out of all my research I found that what I want to represent in my posing have a nod to classical sculpture like Eugeune Delaplanche and Ernest Barrias. I also want the character to emote energy and personality that's powerful and graceful.

After lots of experimenting I came to these 5 poses.
I then went on to simulate the dress for each pose to see how the fabric would fall.
I then made turntables of the 3 that I think have the most potential for story telling.

In addition to having these models and dress posed, I decided to simulate the dress as well to see how the fabric falls with movement
