This digital portrait is one of my older drawing projects. I created a portrait of my grandmother, who has Alzheimer's disease.
I drew this portrait to remember her as she was before her disease began to strip some of her joy away.
Sometimes she actually looks at her own portrait and it soothes her. She doesn't recognize it's herself but she does find it beautiful which brings me so much joy.
